Come home to yourself – A 3 day retreat for gay men in Barcelona/Sitges in June 2026

Come home to yourself – A 3 day retreat for gay men in Barcelona/Sitges in June 2026

A space to slow down, heal and reconnect

Many gay men carry emotional wounds shaped by early experiences of shame, rejection, or emotional distance. These patterns often continue to influence our relationships, our bodies and our sense of self – even when we are successful, socially connected, or outwardly confident.

” Come home to yourself “ offers a structured, supportive space to explore these patterns, and to gently develop new, healthier ways of relating – to yourself, and to other men.

Grounded in the schema therapy approach and enriched by mindfulness, meditation and body focused practices, this retreat supports emotional healing, personal clarity and authentic connection.

This retreat is for…

gay men who:

  • experience, recurring challenges in emotional or romantic relationships
  • struggle with shame, emotional loneliness or self criticism
  • wish to feel more emotionally open and secure with other men
  • want to clarify personal values in life direction
  • are interested in personal growth in a professionally held group setting

The retreat integrates…

  • schema therapy exercises (mode work, experiential exercises, limited reparenting)
  • mindfulness and meditation (emotional awareness, self regulation, self compassion)
  • body-focused practices (grounding, breath, gentle movement)
  • relational and group work (structured connection exercises, sharing circles)

The facilitation is “”trauma-informed, queer-affirmative and consent-based””

with clear structure in safe space for reflection and integration.

Important information: The retreat is not therapy – it only integrates therapeutic tools and techniques into the retreat experience!

Core themes will be…

  • working with the vulnerable child: participants explore early emotional experiences and unmet needs, learn how to respond with compassion, protection, and clarity from the healthy adult mode
  • strengthening the healthy adult: The retreat supports inner stability, self-leadership and the ability to soothe difficult emotions and challenge self-critical patterns
  • building connection with other men: through carefully facilitated exercises, participants practice emotional, openness, boundaries and trust – creating new relational experiences in a safe environment
  • values and life direction: participants clarify, what truly matters to them and translate insights into realistic intentions for relationships and everyday life
